Meet Mollee, a senior at Calvary Schools in Holland. We’re delighted to have Mollee on our team, not just because she’s confident and full of life, but because she’s passionate about encouraging younger girls to find their confidence, too. Mollee is part of the power plus program at Calvary, where she volunteers in outreach to the community. She loves to have an impact and bring smiles to others through the program.

Mollee keeps a busy schedule as a three sport athlete who also coaches a volleyball team. She loves to work with younger kids to help them improve their sports skills while coaching basketball on Saturdays and soccer during the summer, too. She and her family have become an emergency foster family, and Mollee has a heart to be the best big sister possible for the time that children stay in their home.

Here is what Mollee’s reference letter from Megan said: “I would highly recommend Mollee for a role model and mentor position with your group. I have employed Mollee on many occasions as a babysitter for my own children. I have also seen her in similar roles at our school where I am a teacher. Mollee also services weekly with our school’s service program in the community. She is well loved by children, self-motivated, cheerful, outgoing, and extremely respectful. She is a joy to be around.”

We love Mollee’s enthusiasm for empowering others–especially as she puts her heart and soul into mentoring the next generation in her areas of passion. So glad you’re a part of this year’s crew, Mollee!

Zealand High senior Aubrey is committed to living a life that stays true to who she says she is and who she wants to be. She has a strong desire to help other girls to see that they are beautiful, and that it’s important to be comfortable in their own skin.

A member of NHS and the president of her class, Aubrey also stays busy in her mentoring role through the ZLinks program at school, and she has spent time coaching 5th and 6th grade volleyball as well. In the future, Aubrey would like to find ways to support sports programs for Autistic children. She wants her peers to know that no one has it all figured out, but that it’s important to shine just as you are.

We loved reading what Aubrey’s mom wrote this about her in her letter of recommendation.  Here is an excerpt:  “Aubrey has a natural beauty in her spirit.  This shines through her eyes as she smiles.  (Yep, I am her mom and am very biased. ☺.)  She is an amazing young woman that has chosen a path of faith, strength, encouragement, respect and love.  This path has been a challenge for her at times, as you can imagine being a high school student.   She has taken on what is presented to her and learned and developed in a positive way.   I am extremely proud of her academic accomplishments as well as her accomplishments on the volleyball court but more importantly who she is growing into as a woman.”

Holland Christian senior, Olivia, was a great addition to our senior model team this year. She was excited to be an Embolden model because she enjoys expressing herself in photos and loves to build new relationships. Olivia’s outgoing personality was a perfect fit!

Olivia has a heart for young girls and loves to lead them at a cheer clinic where she works each year. She is passionate about encouraging and empowering girls to have self-confidence, and she enjoys guiding the girls through their elementary and middle school years in this way. Olivia also desires to better understand the issue of sex trafficking, especially as it impacts our local community. She has invested time and energy into learning about this injustice that is gaining traction so close to home.

We love to hear other people speak into the strengths of character in each of our models as well.  Olivia’s grandma wrote this about her: “Olivia…is a very gracious, mature young lady.  She is a committed team player in all that she does.   She has been involved in various competitive sports all of her life including coaching little girls at cheer camp.   Olivia always has a smile on her face and radiates beauty inside and out.”
