Senior Model Profile–Lucas

Lucas is heading into his senior year at Zeeland East High School. He has a bright spirit that attracts his peers and makes for a great ice breaker. He loves to be an encouragement to those around him, always finding opportunities to cheer up friends and fellow classmates when they’re down.

When asked about making a difference, Lucas expressed the importance of sharing God’s love with others. Helping children to have a foundation in God is something Lucas wants to accomplish through his work as a camp counselor. He is also passionate about women being treated as people and not as objects, and takes a strong stand against abuse.

We loved reading what Lucas’ sister, Katelyn wrote about him in her referral letter: “…Not only is he just a handsome little man, but that is only rivaled by his kind heart, sensitivity for God, “includer” personality, and all around good humor. Growing up with Lucas was tough as an older sister — being the youngest, he constantly received all the attention, but as we both age, it’s easy to see why — Lucas is an outstanding lacrosse player, always looking for the next thrill and challenge, and so bright! For all he has going for him, you would never know that certain things have been setbacks in his life, for example, scoliosis. While this diagnosis may have inhibited other people from carrying on in the sports and work he does, for Lucas, nothing is going to hold him back. He is determined to play Lacrosse in college, and his back diagnosis is not going to slow him down. He would be a great addition to the 2016-2017 year modeling team, especially if you’re looking for the “total package.” Thoughtful, intelligent, handsome, funny, outgoing, and these are just to name a few. Lucas is a bright spot in our family — always interested in coming home and filling us in on his day, responsible, and outgoing — and I would love to see him be a bright spot in your Senior portfolio! You really can’t go wrong.”

Lucas’ encouraging attitude is a welcome addition to our model team this year. We love how he’s clicked with the team and made the most of the experience!
